Dear Bronco Parents,
I hope everyone had a great weekend! It is hard to believe that we are down to the last 5 weeks of school.  It seems like just yesterday I was writing the welcome back letter and now here we are at the end of the year.  This is the time of the year that is full of so many emotions.  Excitement of the pending summer vacations.  Exhaustion from working so hard all year to meet goals. Happiness that we will graduate another senior class out into the world.  Sadness that we will graduate another senior class out into the world because of the impact they have made on our campus.  If there is anything we can do for your Bronco in order to wrap up the year, please let us know.
I want to take a few moments to tell you how blessed and thankful we are to have the very best teachers at MBHS.  Some of you may or may not know that this week is teacher appreciation week.  I watch these teachers day in and day out devote their heart and soul to teaching our students.  They work hard to the point of exhaustion to not only teach them the content but to teach them how to kind and loving people who are going to make an impact in the world.  We are going to celebrate our teachers this week with a couple of lunches, goodies in their boxes and the ever popular jeans days!  While these events are great and it fills stomachs, what fills their buckets are hearing from students and parents on how much of an impact they make each and every day.  If you or your Bronco can find the time to email, write a letter or send a card to those that teach your student, you would not only make their day but their year!  I know I am very thankful for all that they do to help support our Broncos and each other.
On another note, if you will be returning to Boyd next year please make sure you have checked your course requests and you make any changes that you need to make before the end of the year.  Juniors who are interested in GPA exempt or senior release for next year, please make sure you meet those deadlines and turn in your forms in as soon as possible.  If you have any questions, please visit with your student’s counselor and they will gladly help walk you through the process.
I hope everyone has a great week!  Go Broncos!
Thanks,
Dr. Peirson
